I have been experimenting with my gorilla poop recipe to try and find a recipe that still tastes good but cuts down on the fat and calories. This recipe has almost 3 g of fiber and almost 4 g of protein with 160 calories (the real ones have double the calories)……and the best news is they still taste like gorilla poops. My first trial was a disaster, I tried just using peanut butter, without the butter and all honey….no sugar with extra oats! My husband, kindly told me they tasted terrible. So the next time I tried adding half the amount of butter and cutting the sugar down a little. I have discovered a little bit of butter gives it a rich taste. I prefer a little less sugar but the honey is also really good! 4 cups of oats is just enough so they can still stick into the cookie shape and not fall apart (adding more oats makes them fall apart but they are still delicious). Feel free to experiment and let me know what works best for you! I’d love comments!
